Protection along the Bay, Development around the Bay

In Nov. 2007 Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Government proposed the new city development strategy of “Protection along the Bay, Development around the Bay”, which marked Qingdao’s entry into the development around the Bay.

It also indicated that the future of Qingdao’s industry will have a leap-forward development in the sector around Jiaozhou Bay. Qingdao University of Science & Technology and Qingdao Mesnac Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. have sensed this trend years ago so they took the lead to carry on strategic planning in the area around the Bay, and perfected the general development strategies after an in-depth comprehension into the spirit of the city’s strategy.
